Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)

Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is the Australian Government’s new specialist disability employment program, replacing Disability Employment Services from 1 November 2025. The program is designed to place people at the centre of services, making it easier for individuals and employers to connect and succeed.

About the Program

Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is the Australian Government’s new specialist disability employment program, replacing Disability Employment Services from the 1st November 2025.
The program is designed to place people at the centre of services, making it easier for individuals and employers to connect and succeed.

Through IEA, people with disability, injury, or health conditions can access personalised support to:

prepare for work,
find and maintain meaningful employment, and
grow their careers.

Unlike previous programs, IEA has no two-year limit on participation, offers intensive preparation support where needed, and is also open to voluntary participants not receiving Centrelink payments.

Eligibility

Inclusive Employment Australia is open to a wider range of people than the previous DES program. You may be eligible if you:

live with a disability, injury, or health condition that impacts your ability to work,
have an assessed work capacity of less than 8 hours per week, or
are a voluntary participant who is not receiving a Centrelink income support payment.

There is no time limit on how long you can remain in the program. Support is tailored to your needs, whether you require intensive preparation or just flexible assistance to move forward in your career.

Inclusive Employment Australia Service Regions
