The Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training equips current and aspiring supervisors and team leaders with the skills and knowledge to identify, assess, control and monitor workplace risks in line with WHS legislation and industry requirements. Participants learn to apply structured risk management processes, consult with workers and stakeholders, and implement and monitor workplace safety policies, procedures and programs.
Designed for those working or seeking to work in operational, supervisory or leadership roles, the course strengthens practical capability through realistic, scenario-based activities. Learners investigate workplace concerns and incidents, conduct hazard inspections, prepare risk assessments and control plans, deliver toolbox talks and complete WHS documentation aligned with workplace practice. The course also builds understanding of responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act, Regulations and relevant Codes of Practice.
Course Information
The delivery of this training is over three days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The training will be conducted in a classroom face to face.

Enrolment Information:
Students are required to read the Student Handbook and agree to the Terms and Conditions prior to enrolment. All students must satisfactorily complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment at a minimum of ACSF Level 3 and participate in a course suitability discussion during the pre-enrolment process. Once the enrolment is reviewed, students will receive confirmation of their enrolment. A valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) is mandatory for all students.

Further Study Options:
Students who successfully complete the Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Training may choose to continue their studies towards the Combined Level 4 and Level 5 Statutory Supervisor Training comprising of BSBWHS411, BSBWHS414 and BSBWHS513 (Lead WHS Risk Management).

Completing this course is one part of the requirements for appointment as a Statutory Supervisor under Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. After completing your training, you will need to complete the relevant requirements through WorkSafe WA, including registering through the Mines Statutory Positions Portal and completing the applicable legislation examination.
