The Parent Pathways program offers mentoring support, financial assistance for approved costs (including training, transportation, driver’s licence expenses, and communications and technology needs), and connections to support services to help you succeed.
Parent Pathways is voluntary, flexible, and does not affect parenting payments – plus, participants can access up to $250 of engagement support vouchers towards groceries each year!

Training Alliance Group’s Parent Pathways program is available in the Great Southern Wheatbelt, Kalgoorlie, South West, Perth North, and Perth South. Each location offers a welcoming space where you can explore your education and employment goals with our team, tailored to meet the unique needs of parents and carers.
In partnership with our subcontractor, Waalitj Foundation, Training Alliance Group provides services across 59 locations in 5 regions throughout WA, making our support accessible to communities statewide.
The Parent Pathways program offers financial assistance towards of a range of approved expenses via the individual fund which is designed to make reaching the goals that you set for yourself throughout your time in the program more achievable. We are able to provide assistance across a variety of areas such as accredited training, communication and technology, driver’s licence costs, non-vocational training, transport and work-related training and licensing.
When you commence into the program you also become eligible for an engagement support voucher. This is a $100 voucher that you can put towards groceries at either Woolworths or Coles. If you continue to attend face to face appointments, you may also be eligible for $50 vouchers subsequently depending on the frequency of your appointments up to the capped amount of $250 per year.
Once you have commenced into the program you will be connected with a local Mentor. We can be flexible and arrange to meet with you in your area, at a suitable time and your children are always welcome. Your Mentor will help you identify your personal and family goals, create a Goal Plan and help you with local activity and support options. At this meeting you will be offered an engagement support voucher towards groceries or petrol.
Throughout the program you will receive guidance towards progressing your goals and may access an individual fund to help cover costs related to your Goal Plan. You will have regular check in appointments with your Mentor where you can discuss your activities, successes, challenges and report on any changes.
