This qualification is designed for entry-level community services workers providing person-centred support in various community settings.
This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services. Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs.
Packaging rules for this qualification require the completion of 12 units of which 5 are core units and 7 are elective units.
Delivery Mode:
This blended training combines Face-to-face classroom, practical training, and supported self-paced workshop (face-to-face/virtual).
Face-to-face Sessions (Classroom/Virtual): Monday and Tuesday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Wednesday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
Wednesday Sessions: Attendance is not compulsory for existing workers with industry knowledge or those working in client-focused industries.

Upon successful completion, student will receive:
A statement of attainment will be supplied for partial completion of the course.
What You Need to Provide:
Student attending the course via virtual classroom should have access to computer/laptop/tablet, speaker, microphone, camera, reliable internet and email access and Microsoft Teams installed.

Assessment Methods:
Student’s attainment of the units of competency within this qualification is achieved by their successful completion of a range of assessment activities that may include, written tests, oral questions, and submission of supplementary assessment evidence.
Students are required to demonstrate that they can apply the knowledge and skills learnt in a range of situations and in varying contexts so many of the assessment requirements of the units of competencies will need to be demonstrated on more than one occasion.

Further Study Options:
Students who successfully complete the course may choose to continue to study CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services, CHC41115 Certificate IV in Employment Services or a leadership qualification if desired.
