About this Certification

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who provide employment services to both job seekers and employers. They use specialised knowledge to support individual job seekers in locating, securing and maintaining employment, and to assist employers in meeting their recruitment needs.

Packaging rules for this qualification require the completion of 14 units of which 9 are core units and 5 are elective units.

 

Delivery Mode:

Training delivery is either face-to-face or virtual via Microsoft Teams, with 1 to 2 workplace visits (by course trainer) per month.

Face-to-face/virtual delivery constitutes 30%, while work placement constitutes 70% of the course duration.

Note: This traineeship is delivered under competency-based training. If the RTO and employer agree that the student is competent, they can complete this traineeship earlier.

 

Qualification:

Upon successful completion, student will receive:

  • CHC41115 – Certificate IV in Employment Services

 

Statement of Attainment: A statement of attainment will be supplied for partial completion of the course.

CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people

CHCDIV002 – Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety

CHCECD001 – Analyse and apply information that supports employment and career development

CHCECD002 – Deliver and monitor contracted employment services

CHCECD003 – Promote job seekers to employers

CHCECD005 – Deliver employment services to employers

CHCECD006 – Develop and monitor employment plans

CHCECD007 – Maximise participation in work by people with disability

CHCECD009 – Conduct career guidance interviews

CHCMHS001 – Work with people with mental health issues

CHCPRP001 – Develop and maintain networks and collaborative partnerships

 

What You Need to Provide:

Student attending the course via virtual classroom should have access to computer/laptop/tablet, speaker, microphone, camera, reliable internet and email access and Microsoft Teams installed.

 

Prerequisites:

  • There are no formal requirements for this qualification, however, students will require to undertake an LLN assessment prior/during enrolment and achieve a minimum of ACSF Level 3 (sufficient to interpret document, complete and maintain documents and communicate effectively with others).
  • Students should have basic computer, internet navigation skills to do research for self-study.
  • Students must be 16 years or older at the time of enrolment.
  • Student must be citizen/permanent resident or have legal rights to study in Australia

 

Assessment Methods:

Student’s attainment of the units of competency within this qualification is achieved by their successful completion of a range of assessment activities that may include, written tests, oral questions, and submission of supplementary assessment evidence.

Students are required to demonstrate that they can apply the knowledge and skills learnt in a range of situations and in varying contexts so many of the assessment requirements of the units of competencies will need to be demonstrated on more than one occasion.

Further Study Options:

Students who successfully complete the course may choose to continue to study CHC52021 – Diploma of Community Services, if desired.
