This course covers a range of topics, including developing and implementing a business plan, managing finances, marketing, managing staff, and risk management.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals establishing or operating a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a larger organisation.
These individuals use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base to solve a range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others and have responsibility for the output of others.

This blended training combines face-to-face classroom sessions, and supported self-paced learning.

Enrolment Information:
Students are required to read the Student Handbook and agree to the Terms and Conditions prior to enrolment. All students must satisfactorily complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment at a minimum of ACSF Level 3 and participate in a course suitability discussion during the pre-enrolment process. Once the enrolment is reviewed, students will receive confirmation of their enrolment. A valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) is mandatory for all students.
Units of Competency:
Packaging rules for this qualification require the completion of 10 units of which 4 are core units (unable to be changed), and 6 are elective units (can be selected from a predetermined list by the training provider).

What You Need to Provide:
Student attending the course via virtual classroom should have access to a computer/tablet/laptop, speaker, microphone, camera, reliable internet and email access and Microsoft Teams installed.

The evidence gathering process will reflect specific requirements for units within the training package. Each student’s attainment of the units of competency within this qualification is achieved by their successful completion of a range of assessment activities. For each unit of Competency, these activities may include:
Students are required to demonstrate that they can apply the knowledge and skills learnt in a range of situations and in varying contexts so many of the assessment requirements of the units of competencies will need to be demonstrated on more than one occasion.

Further Study Options:
After completing the BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business, individuals can pursue further skills development in areas such as advanced business management, leadership, marketing, finance, and strategic planning.
